Administrator Aitken told the council that graders have been actively working on the north end of Town and that the Silverstar project is roughly 50% complete but behind schedule. As a result, the Town is proceeding with in-house road improvements: crews will remove existing surface material, lay new road base and prepare Vista Drive for paving with material deliveries already scheduled; work is expected to begin July 28.
The council also learned that the bid opening for the Green Canyon water storage tank lining project was scheduled for July 8 at 2:00 p.m.; the Town Engineer will review submissions and provide a recommendation. Preparations for paving bridge crossings over Cedar Creek at Hardman and Middle Branch are also underway.
Council members discussed balancing contractor schedules and in-house crews to limit delays. No formal action was taken during the work session; staff will return with bid assessments and scheduling details for forthcoming meetings.
