On June 25 the Garden City Board of Trustees approved a string of procurement and grant‑related actions: a renewal of parking enforcement management services, an access‑control installation at Fire Station No. 2, acceptance of a maintenance bond for police bathroom work, equipment purchases for DPW, and authorization to apply for a Water Infrastructure Improvement Act grant to replace lead service lines.
The Board accepted FBS Parking Solutions’ proposal to continue parking enforcement management (first‑year software and licensing for 12 handheld units $6,600; subsequent years at $3,300). The Board also accepted Intelli‑Tec Security Systems’ proposal to install access control at Fire Station No. 2 for $60,131.48 under a New York State contract, and accepted Maintenance Bond No. 4300630M from Dynamic GC Corp. (Servpro South Bronx) in the amount of $155,944.10 to guarantee police bathroom renovation work for 18 months.
Public Works purchases approved included a Takeuchi TB395W wheeled excavator from All Island Equipment Corp. for $174,900 (trade‑in of an existing CAT 450 backhoe) and a 2027 Ford F‑550 from Van Bortel Ford for $142,893.14 (replacement of Truck No. 513). The agenda notes both purchases were budgeted in the current fiscal year and procured through cooperative contracts.
The Board also authorized submitting a Water Infrastructure Improvement Act (WIIA) grant application to replace lead service lines throughout the Village and accepted H2M Architects & Engineers’ $5,200 proposal to assist with grant application preparation, cost estimating and coordination of required documentation.
Each item was moved by Trustee Muldoon and carried unanimously. Village Counsel reviewed relevant proposals and contracts as to form where noted in the agenda record.
