Denton trustees approve Restated Keno agreement and reallocate Keno community grants

The board approved the amended awards: Dollars for Scholars, $1,500; DCAC, $2,500; Sunnyside Cemetery, $5,000; Denton Community Historical Society, $3,000.
Village Attorney Maureen Freeman-Cady had recommended limiting the Keno contract renewal to a one-year term. The board’s authorization for Trustee Joe Hobelman to sign the Restated Keno Agreement completes the board-level approval; the clerk will record the signed document once returned.
The board did not provide additional details about changes to the contract language beyond the recommended one-year term. The board carried the motions at the Jan. 6, 2025 meeting and will address related administrative steps in upcoming meetings.
