Denton trustees approve routine purchases, claims and $40,000 Keno-to‑General transfer

Chairman Joe Hobelman called the meeting to order at 6:33 p.m. Trustee John Juricek moved and Trustee Amanda Fangmeier seconded approval of the Oct. 3, 2024 minutes; the motion carried. The board later approved Resolution 24‑11‑1, described in the minutes as the 2024 year‑end certification of the city street superintendent. Trustee Amanda Fangmeier moved the resolution and Trustee John Juricek seconded; the minutes record the motion carried. (The minutes also contain an inconsistent reference to “23‑11‑1.”)
Finance items approved included Claims List A for $61,415.25 and Claims List B for $7,560.14, October payroll of $14,234.22, and a transfer of $40,000 from the Keno fund to the General Fund. Trustee John Juricek moved and Trustee Amanda Fangmeier seconded approval of the claims and transfer; the motion carried.
On procurement items, maintenance staff member Blackledge presented bids. The board approved purchasing tires for the town pickup from Jay’s Oil for $1,215.84 (motion by Trustee John Juricek; seconded by Trustee Amanda Fangmeier) and approved purchasing pallet racking for the shop from WinRack for $1,109 (same mover and seconder); both motions carried.
The clerk reported Keno gross proceeds of $526,002.38 for the reporting period, with the village share listed as $37,129.49. The clerk also said she has started work on the FY 2023–24 audit and the board voted to request an audit waiver for that fiscal year (motion by Trustee Amanda Fangmeier; seconded by Trustee Doug Rosekrans), which the minutes record as carried.
The meeting adjourned at 7:27 p.m. Clerk‑Treasurer Charlotte Te Brink certified the minutes and signed the document.
