Rockville wins People's Choice community display at county fair, receives $500

Representatives of the Washington County Fair Board presented Rockville with a $500 prize and ribbon on June 10 after the town’s fair display won the People’s Choice Community award.
"The town crew were not only the most organized there, but on time and most efficient setting up and taking down," said Ruffin Judd, who presented the check and ribbon and encouraged town staff and volunteers to stand for recognition. Mayor Pam Leach and council members accepted the award and thanked fair board staff for the honor.
The board said this was the first year for the People’s Choice award and that other awards included the Commissioner’s Award to Santa Clara and the Fair Director’s Award to Hildale.
