Fargo Public Schools highlights FUSE community partnership and student services event

District administrators described a Families United for Self Empowerment (FUSE) event at Jefferson that will offer barber haircuts, registration support, transit tours and community partner booths to help families prepare for the school year.
At the June 14 meeting the Fargo Board of Education heard an administration report about an upcoming community partnership event organized with FUSE (Families United for Self Empowerment) at Jefferson Elementary.
Administrator Missy Eidsnes outlined services available at the event — registration support, help finding bus routes, community partner booths including police, sheriff and fire departments, Valley Bus tours, and Skills Cuts barber haircuts. She praised coordinator Victoria Johnson for pulling partners together and encouraged board members to spread the word to families.
Board members commended the turnout and community engagement; one member said the event has been “very successful” and thanked Victoria Johnson for coordinating it. The administration said Fargo Public Schools will provide registration support and outreach to families.
