Fargo board completes reorganization: Katie Christiansen Meineer elected president; Greg Clark elected vice president; appointments approved

The Fargo Board of Education completed its annual reorganization on June 14, electing leadership, approving routine business and making appointments to the district’s building authority.
Following a canvassing committee report, Dr. Gross announced the ballot result: “Based upon the ballot and your votes, the president for the upcoming school year will be Katie Christiansen Meineer.” The meeting was returned to President Katie Christiansen Meineer.
The board held a ballot for vice president. After members cast ballots, the president announced: “And our vice president for this upcoming year will be Greg Clark.”
The board approved its consent agenda by voice vote, 9-0. The board also moved to appoint the full nine‑member school board, Dr. Corey Steiner and Jackie Gapp to the Fargo School District Building Authority; the roll call passed 9-0.
Board members were asked to provide committee and liaison preferences via email and were reminded of a board training session on Aug. 3. The board set its next meeting for Aug. 11 at the district office and adjourned at 5:50 p.m.
