Jeff Chaney, vice president of the YMCA, and John Allen, vice president of property and real estate development for the YMCA of Greater Louisville, updated the Scott County Redevelopment Commission on May 15 on the Ready Project timeline.
Chaney and Allen said Ready1 should wrap within the next few weeks and that the YMCA will be soliciting bids for Ready2 soon. They estimated project completion at roughly a year from now. The YMCA presenters provided a letter for the commission to send to SCFY; the materials do not expand the acronym.
JR Ward moved to authorize President Greg Prince to sign the presented letter outside of a meeting; Jill Baker seconded and the motion carried three to zero with Prince, Ward and Baker voting in favor. The minutes record no public comment opposing the authorization.
The commission then moved to other agenda items, including approval of prior meeting minutes.
