Administrator: amphitheater grant presentation set for Aug. 6; ODOT reviewing school zone; sirens scheduled for July 6

Village Administrator Jordan Hodges updated Covington Village Council on several operational items on June 22, saying a grant presentation for an amphitheater is set and that traffic and safety measures are under review by state officials.
Hodges told the council "the grant presentation to UVMC for the amphitheater will be on August 6th." He also said the proposed school zone "is currently in the hands of ODOT" and that he is "waiting to hear back from them mid next week."
Acting Police Chief Aaron Zuhl briefed the council on emergency equipment: "tornado sirens were delivered and they are scheduled to be installed on July 6th if the power pole they need is delivered in time." The siren installation is therefore conditional on delivery of the required power pole.
Council Member Julie Blumenstock reported on a community mural, saying she has "had nothing but positive feedback from the community" and that there will be a photo opportunity half an hour before the next council meeting.
