County staff said the contractor guaranteed repairs for at least a year and would return to fix problems covered by the warranty. A commissioner moved to authorize the work “not to exceed $24,279” to Hutton with a note that the contractor might reduce costs if both mobilizations are combined; the motion carried by voice vote, recorded as 4–0.
The funding will come from the county’s repair allotments in the packet; commissioners stressed the urgency because ongoing moisture is worsening interior damage and will increase future repair costs if left unaddressed. The contract award authorizes exterior waterproofing work and immediate mobilization so interior wall remediation can follow.
The commission also directed staff to confirm warranty terms and seek any available mobilization discount. No legal or procurement details beyond the vendor name and proposal amounts were provided at the meeting. The commission moved on to other agenda items after the vote.
