The Star Valley Ranch Town Council on May 13 approved the consent agenda that included two Roads Board appointments and recognized former Mayor Kathy Buyers for a decade of service.
By unanimous vote on the consent agenda (motion by Councilman Bitter, seconded by Councilman Merrill), the council confirmed appointments of Keith Jackson and Andrew Hudskins to the Roads Board with terms listed as 2026. The consent agenda also approved routine minutes, disbursements and reports, including the Lincoln County Sheriff dispatch report.
The council presented a proclamation and a recognition plaque to former Mayor Kathy Buyers marking her 10 years of service; the Natural Resources Board also presented a plaque of gratitude. Mayor Rok thanked volunteers and noted the 2nd Annual Spring Cleanup produced more filled bags than last year. Resident Mr. Brian said he had not known about the cleanup and asked about outreach; Mayor Rok said the town used text, Facebook, email, website and flyers and will work to improve dissemination of information.
What happens next: town staff will notify appointees and update the Roads Board roster; the town indicated it will work to broaden outreach for future volunteer events.
