Dunn County commissioners approve amended HR comparator list after 3–2 roll-call split

Dessie Calihou, Dunn County’s human resources director, presented an adjusted list of comparator employers to be used in an upcoming compensation study.
Commissioner Pelton moved to amend the list by removing Williston and three engineering companies; the amendment passed on roll call with Commissioners Heiser, Pelton and Kleemann voting in favor and Commissioners Olson and Dolezal voting against. The board then approved the amended comparator list on the same 3–2 vote.
Commissioner Olson cast a dissenting vote during the amendment and final approval. Calihou will forward the approved comparator list to outside HR consultants as directed by the board.
