The Dunn County Board voted July 1 to take the Weed Control building addition back up for consideration and to explore a design–build procurement approach after hearing that the current cost estimate of about $1.8 million appeared high.
Commissioner Heiser offered to lead the research; the board approved his proposal unanimously. No funding commitment or contract award was made at the meeting; the motion directed staff and the commissioner lead to investigate design–build alternatives that might reduce costs.
