A committee member asked whether surveillance rules apply once students leave district property for a field trip or other event; Chair responded that when the district takes students on a trip, district policies follow and that the bus is treated as a classroom.
Members clarified implementation details: extracurricular staff and volunteer coaches will be briefed on changes at the annual coacheskickoff meeting, and the committee discussed publishing a short list of standards in a newsletter or on Facebook to inform the public.
