Dodge County appoints two to Farmer’s Market Board, leaves third seat open

The Dodge County Board of Commissioners appointed Lee Lancaster and Angela Lewis to two open seats on the county Farmer’s Market Board during its April 21 meeting.
Manager Conner Bearden told the board he had received reappointment applications from both Lee Lancaster and Angela Lewis. Commissioner Brian Watkins opened nominations; Commissioner Sharon Cobb Flanagan nominated Lee Lancaster. With no other nominations, the board closed nominations and appointed Lancaster by acclamation.
Later in the same agenda item, Commissioner Leigh Ann Greene nominated Angela Lewis to fill another open position. With no other nominations, Commissioner Jeffrey Jones moved to close nominations; Commissioner Watkins seconded. The board appointed Lewis by acclamation.
The board also voted unanimously to table filling a third open Farmer’s Market Board seat until an application could be obtained. Commissioner Watkins made the motion to table and Commissioner Flanagan seconded.
The appointments were procedural and passed without recorded opposition. The board handled the nominations and votes by voice; no public testimony for these appointments was recorded.
