Blair Township Planning Commission recommends approval of Robert Claar plan, tables Mattern Woods submission

The Blair Township Planning Commission met June 8, 2026 and recommended approval of the Robert Claar Land Development Plan and a developer waiver to Ordinance No. 350-48.B, which governs curbs. Eric Banks, representing engineering firm Stiffler McGraw, told the commission there were no outstanding items on the Claar plans and recommended approval. He said the property owners have five years to complete the project and submit an as-built drawing to the township.
Theresa Gillie moved to recommend approval of the waiver to Ordinance No. 350-48.B; Amisha Wertz seconded and the motion carried. Chris Kriedler then moved to recommend approval of the Robert Claar Land Development Plan; Gillie seconded and that motion also carried.
Banks also reported that the township has not received a new submission for the Mattern Woods Subdivision and Land Development plan and recommended tabling the item. Chris Kriedler moved to table the Mattern Woods plan; Theresa Gillie seconded and the motion carried.
Vice-Chairperson Tim Shaw called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m., recorded attendance of commission members Tim Shaw, Chris Kriedler, Theresa Gillie and Amisha Wertz (with Eric Banks and recording secretary Kami Bilek present), and led the salute to the flag. With no further business, Theresa Gillie moved to adjourn; Chris Kriedler seconded and the motion carried. The commission rescheduled its July meeting from July 6 to Monday, July 13, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. The meeting adjourned at 6:06 p.m. Minutes were signed by Amisha Wertz, Secretary.
