Blair Township awards 2026 road paving and stone contracts

Supervisor Brad Germaux moved to award the paving contract to Midland Asphalt Materials, Inc., Supervisor Jacob Wible seconded, and the motion passed unanimously pending solicitor review of required documents.
The board also opened 2026–2027 stone bids. After review, supervisors awarded New Enterprise Stone & Lime the Type 2 Anti-Skid contract at $24.65 per ton (total $9,860.00) and the Aashto #1 item at $20.65 per ton (total $2,065.00). The board awarded Grannas Bros. the Type 2A Subbase at $15.65 per ton (total $9,390.00). Each award was moved by Supervisor Germaux, seconded by Supervisor Wible, and approved unanimously.
These procurement actions followed the township’s routine financial approvals for April, including total April disbursements of $122,230.20 and treasury balances reported by Secretary/Treasurer Kami Bilek. The supervisors did not record any objections during the bidding or award votes. The paving award is subject to the solicitor’s review of bidder documentation before final execution.
