Bremer County to allocate CHBP funds for two bridge replacements; accepts highest bid pending final review

The board authorized the chair to sign the funding agreements with the Iowa Department of Transportation by voice vote (ayes; chair voted aye) and approved the project-plan signatures that will allow the DOT to advertise and manage the bids.
On a related procurement matter, the board opened four bids by phone with Tim Meeker. The highest bid was recorded in the minutes as from Jason Hunnamiller at $50 per ton; the board moved to accept the high bid "pending Tim's final review and approval."
