At its Jan. 31, 2018 meeting in Topeka, the Kansas Board of Accountancy moved into a 15-minute executive session to consult with counsel about disciplinary policies in connection with the 2018 legislative session. Kathryn J. Mitchell moved and Denise Denning seconded the motion to go into executive session for attorney-client privilege; the motion carried. When the Board reconvened, no action was taken on the legislative topic.
The Board also voted (motion by T. C. Anderson, second by Michael L. Marsh) to delegate John R. Helms as the Presiding Officer for Board matters that arise before the next meeting on April 27, 2018, and to designate Kathryn J. Mitchell as his alternate should he be unavailable or must recuse himself. The motion carried. The meeting concluded with a motion to adjourn moved by Michael L. Marsh and seconded by T. C. Anderson.
