Board ratifies CPA exam results and grants one exam-score extension

The Kansas Board of Accountancy reviewed and ratified CPA exam grades for the April–June 2018 testing window at its July 27 meeting in Topeka.
Board members reviewed first-quarter 2018 exam statistics and candidate concerns; no additional action was required. The Board granted a requested extension for Jennifer Edwards: her Regulation exam score, which had expired May 31, 2018, was extended to August 31, 2018 under K.A.R. 74-1-3(f), after members found her circumstances justified relief.
The motion to ratify grades and the motion to extend Ms. Edwards' Regulation score carried by vote as recorded in the minutes. No other candidate actions were taken at the meeting.
