The Unified School District No. 505 Board of Education appointed Brock Aday to replace Seth Born at its Jan. 8 meeting.
Board member Josh Baker moved to approve Aday’s appointment; Maggy Robison seconded the motion, which passed 6-0. After the appointment, Shelby Spielbusch, Brock Aday and Jennifer Stewart took the oath of office. The board president, Roberta Carter, opened the meeting at 7:00 p.m. with all members present.
The board approved an amended agenda on a motion by Josh Baker, seconded by Maggy Robison, which passed 7-0. The consent agenda — minutes of the Dec. 1, 2025 meeting, January bills, the December VISA bill and December activity accounts — was approved after a motion by Maggy Robison and a second from Barbara Evans; that motion passed 7-0.
