Warren Township environmental commission adopts final Environmental Resource Inventory

The Warren Township Environmental Commission unanimously adopted its final Environmental Resource Inventory and will present the document to the Planning Board; the ERI is posted online and two printed copies will be placed at Town Hall and the township library.
The Warren Township Environmental Commission on April 15 unanimously adopted the township's final Environmental Resource Inventory. Commissioner Susan Zeitels, Commissioner Joe Filo and Commissioner Rakesh Ganta moved to adopt the final ERI, and the motion passed with all members in agreement.
The commission said the final ERI will be presented to the Warren Township Planning Board at a future meeting; Planning Board President John Lindner was identified as the board point of contact and Barbara Davis of the Land Conservancy will present the document to that board. Commission Chair Wayne DeFeo asked that all Environmental Commission members plan to attend the Planning Board presentation if possible.
Commissioners recommended printing two bound copies of the ERI, to be kept at Town Hall and the Warren Township Library, and noted the ERI has been posted on the township Environmental Commission webpage. The adoption formalizes the inventory's role as a reference for local planning and conservation work and sets the next step of presenting its findings to the Planning Board for consideration.
The commission took no further formal action on the ERI at the April meeting; the Planning Board presentation date will be set later.
