"We would like to thank HMSA for always generously supporting the mayor's Craft and County Fair," Matsui said, referring to a $4,000 gift the committee accepted for the mayor’s 50th annual fair scheduled for Nov. 21, 2026, at the Neil Blaisdell Center Exhibition Hall.
Matsui also described a donated Z Clay print by artist Gary Reed that Lori Thornley has offered to the city. The print, valued at $3,000, is intended for display at the Paul R. Reich Education Center at Ho'omalihia Botanical Gardens. The chair announced a proposed amendment to the resolution; the committee amended the measure to CD1 (OCS 20260442792026) and the chair recommended it be reported out for adoption.
The largest donation on the agenda, a $25,000 gift from Lehi Heaven Incorporated, was presented as support for public programs, garden maintenance and operational needs at Ho'omalihia Botanical Gardens. "We would like to thank [the donor] for the generous gift," Matsui said. There was no oral testimony in person or online for any of the three items.
