Chair cancels Board of Adjustment meeting due to lack of quorum

At the start of the scheduled 6 p.m. meeting, the chair announced the Board of Adjustment would not be called to order because a quorum was not present and said the session would be canceled if enough members did not arrive.
The chair said, “We—ve been delayed this evening to call the Board of Adjustment to order based on a lack of quorum,” and announced the meeting would hold for another five minutes to see whether a quorum could form. The chair later told attendees, “We will be canceling the building board of appeals tonight and reschedule that meeting for a later time.”
After the brief hold, the chair apologized and formally canceled the Board of Adjustment meeting, saying, “I apologize tonight, but the board of adjustment will cancel due to lack of quorum. And we will reset as soon as possible to be accommodating to those that need to have their information prepared for us.” No votes, public hearings, or agenda items were heard before the cancellation.
The chair said the board would attempt to reschedule the meeting but did not announce a new date or time. Attendees were thanked for their patience.
