Sac City Council unanimously approves two ordinances, vendor payments and grant support

Mayor Scott Bundt presided over the meeting. Councilmember Kayla Shull moved to approve the consent agenda, which the council approved after a roll call showing Councilmembers Tom Lownik, Larry Mahler and Shull present and voting; Councilmembers Bruening and Murley were absent.
In separate roll-call votes the council:
- Approved draw down #6 in the amount of $57,420 (Ayes: Lownik, Mahler, Shull). The motion passed 3-0. The transcript does not specify the program or project tied to the draw down beyond the entry of the motion.
- Approved payment to Godberson-Smith for $44,118.00 (3-0).
- Approved payment to Olsson for $19,681.72 (3-0).

On ordinance business, the council approved the third reading and adoption of Ordinance No. 2024-330, adding chapter 161 to establish a vacant building permit for the City of Sac City, and approved the third reading and adoption of Ordinance No. 2024-331, amending provisions related to collection of solid waste. Both ordinances passed unanimously among members present.
The council also introduced and approved Resolution No. 2024-36, authorizing the City of Sac City to support and serve as fiscal agent for a federal recreational trails grant application; the vote was unanimous of those present.
Clerk-recorded claims presented at the meeting totaled $179,161.00 and included a Sac County Solid Waste payment of $81,188.91, the Godberson-Smith payment of $44,118.00 and the Olsson payment of $19,681.72, among other line items.
