Sac City Council approves first reading to add one-hour parking on South 6th Street

At its June 10, 2025 meeting, the Sac City Council approved the first reading of Ordinance 2025-334 to amend Chapter 69 (Parking Regulations) by adding South 6th Street, between Main Street and Audubon Street, to the one-hour parking restriction.
Tom Lownik introduced the ordinance. Teresa Bruening moved approval of the first reading and Larry Mahler seconded. A roll call vote recorded ayes from Tom Lownik, Larry Mahler, Bob Murley, Kayla Shull and Teresa Bruening; there were no nays and the first reading passed.
As this was a first reading, the ordinance is not yet adopted; a subsequent reading is required under the city’s ordinance-adoption procedures before the change takes effect. The council did not record additional amendments to the ordinance text in the transcript.
