At its Aug. 13 meeting, Union City Borough Council agreed to change its regular meeting schedule (Sept. 2024 through April 2025) to the first and third Mondays at 6:30 p.m.; the next scheduled meeting is Aug. 27, 2024 and, because of Labor Day, the following meeting is Sept. 16, 2024.
The Borough Manager reported the 2025 Minimum Municipal Obligation (MMO): $48,029 required payment for the non‑uniform pension and $0 required for the police pension. Council approved the MMO on a motion by Councilor Joyce, seconded by Councilor Kerns; the motion carried unanimously.
Council also approved a subdivision request: Erie County Planning had approved survey maps for subdividing 92 West High and combining a portion with 88 and 90 West High; Council approved and signed the subdivision on a motion by Councilor Osborn, seconded by Councilor Kerns.
Other administrative items included an update that the TA Set‑Aside sidewalk project is in progress and a notice of the Erie County Planning kickoff for French Creek park and trail improvements on Sept. 13, 2024.
