Waverly board unanimously approves SRO agreement, recognizes teachers’ union and OKs student trip

At its Sept. 3 meeting, the Waverly School District 145 Board of Education approved several action items, all by unanimous vote. On separate motions the board approved:

- A three-year School Resource Officer (SRO) agreement with the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office. The motion was made by Chad Kendall and seconded by Larry Adams; the minutes record a unanimous (6–0) vote in favor. The agreement length was noted as three years in the agenda summary.

- Recognition of the Waverly Education Association (WEA) as the sole and exclusive negotiating agent for the 2027–2028 school year. The motion was made by Cole Stark and seconded by Larry Adams and passed 6–0.
