The Marion County Board of Commissioners was scheduled to consider an appeal of the hearings officer’s denial of Conditional Use Case #24-034 (Jensen Living Trust) at its March 19 meeting, but the applicant formally withdrew the application before the hearing.
Austin Barnes told the board the applicant had requested withdrawal and needed time to move a tenant. Marion County planning staff noted the original CU sought a manufacturing business on commercial land north of Keizer and that neighbors had raised noise and welding-process concerns. Because the applicant withdrew, staff recommended that the board take no action and county counsel Steve Elzinga agreed there was nothing further for the board to do.
Commissioner Kevin Cameron asked to review the written withdrawal documentation; staff confirmed the materials were received on the afternoon of March 18 and would be included in the official record. No motion was required on the appeal because the application had been withdrawn.
