Clearfield County commissioners approve bills, personnel changes and standardize polling-place leases

President Judge Cherry asked that the rehired law clerk Chelsea Mangini (referenced in the record) be set at an annual salary of $63,000 effective July 6, 2026; the board moved and carried that action.
The board appointed John Ness to the Du Bois Regional (Clearfield-Jefferson) Airport Authority. It approved a parking-lease renewal with the county redevelopment authority for a one-year term covering 30 spaces at $600 per month, pending final legal approval; one commissioner abstained from that vote because the commissioner serves on the redevelopment authority board.
Commissioners approved a renewed professional-services agreement with CSI Corporate Security and Investigations to provide on-call services for Children & Youth Services (background checks, transportation and service of process). The solicitor presented a new standard form lease for polling locations to address modern equipment storage, ADA/accessibility requirements and termination notices. Commissioners approved the form and authorized the director of elections to sign leases; the board and solicitor noted the county now uses 63 precincts after a recent realignment. Commissioner Glass announced open positions for fall election workers (judges and majority inspectors) in specific precincts and urged residents to volunteer.
Finally, the board voted to enter an executive session to discuss legal and contract matters; no public action was recorded following that motion.
