Larkspur Planning Commission re-elects Chalmers as chair, elects Wagstaff vice chair; approves CIP conformance

The Planning Commission conducted its organizational business at the July 14 meeting and elected officers for the coming term. With Chair Swisher absent, commissioners voted to continue Commissioner Chalmers as chair and to elect Commissioner Wagstaff as vice chair; both outcomes were recorded as unanimous votes.
Later in the meeting commissioners reviewed the city's proposed five additions to the FY26'27 Capital Improvement Program. Staff said the projects align with broad general-plan goals (parks, pavement maintenance, storm-drain work and a Magnolia Avenue corridor study). A motion to find the CIP in conformance with the Larkspur General Plan passed by voice vote.
The commission also discussed scheduling planning-commissioner training and continued action on approval of June 9 minutes. The meeting adjourned following brief commissioner reports.
