Council also approved an amendment to the municipal liquor-store personnel policy specifying holidays when the store will be closed (including New Year's Day, July 4, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day) and clarifying procedures for holiday pay and staffing preferences when the store is open on certain holidays. The liquor store manager and committee recommended the change to provide clarity for staff scheduling.
Separately, the council accepted Resolution 26-18, a $12,000 donation from Lakefield Fire Relief for future purchases for the city and the fire department; the motion passed by voice vote.
