Gordon-Rushville honors students for state finishes, NHS inductions and All-State choir selection

Rarity Cournoyer placed third at the state cross-country meet and was named to the NCA All-State Team. The girls cross-country team were district champions and finished fifth overall at state. Students who qualified for state competition alongside Cournoyer included Luke Laws, Robert Moore, Hadley Banks, Ashlyn Dehning, Brittney Dehning and Kynsleigh Krebs.
The board announced new National Honor Society inductees: Jenifer Banister, Stormy Tesch, Lindsey Simonson, Taylor Gieselman, Madyson DeHart-Harris, Maria Alonso, Case Sheenan, Aiden Heiser, Luke Laws, Chris Swanson and Jackson Roffers. Gordon-Rushville High School placed third in its division at the Chadron State College Scholastic Contest. Individual top-five placements included Eli Ross (1st in Human Development and Family Life), Aiden Heiser (3rd in Algebra II), Kylie Goings (5th in Equine Management) and Draegan Leonard (5th in General Biology). Amara Funk was selected to the All-State Choir.
