Crawford County commissioners approved several administrative items at their July 10 meeting in Girard.
County Clerk Lisa Lusker requested a budget work session with Communications Director Tim Mikrut for Tuesday, July 14 at 9:00 a.m.; the commissioners agreed to the meeting and indicated they could discuss the overall budget at that time. County Counselor Jim Emerson presented a request to close East 600th Avenue for the Camptown Event Center from July 23 through the morning of July 26; on motion (26-322) by Commissioner Tom Moody, seconded by Commissioner Bruce Blair, the board approved the temporary closure with all three commissioners voting in the affirmative.
Emerson also presented the contract with Treanor for the 11th Judicial District Space Needs Study (the contract covers study work including the Pittsburg Judicial Center). On motion (26-323) by Commissioner Moody, seconded by Commissioner Carl Wood, the board approved the contract and authorized the chairman to sign. The minutes note the contract is lengthy and was reviewed by commissioners before approval.
Other administrative items discussed included an inquiry by Commissioner Blair about work at the old landfill and the scheduling of future business: the July 14 budget work session and a July 14 public hearing on vacating platted streets and alleys in the South Radley Addition. The board recessed into an executive session later in the day for attorney-client privileged discussion and reconvened with no action taken.
Recorded motions from these agenda items are in the minutes as motions 26-322 (road closure) and 26-323 (Treanor contract).
