At its May 6 meeting, the Richardson County Board of Commissioners reviewed the April 2026 monthly operating statement and approved fee reports for the County Clerk/Register of Deeds and the Clerk of District Court.
The board approved three subdivision applications and adopted Resolutions 2025-2026-36 (Lori J and Byron L Whitney, S10, T3, R16), 2025-2026-37 (Chad W and Janelle P Scholl, S34, T2, R16) and 2025-2026-38 (Chad R and Callie E. Mullins, S9, T1, R17). Each motion was seconded and passed by roll-call vote (Karas-aye, Campbell-aye, Caverzagie-aye). The resolutions are recorded in Resolution Book 28, pages 106–108.
Chairman John Caverzagie moved to hold two claims for further review — Bethany Godemann for $33.98 and EMA petty cash for $61.20 — and to allow payment of the remaining claims submitted that day; the motion was seconded by Rick Karas and approved by roll-call vote.
The minutes list fund-level totals for the day’s claims: General Fund $636,156.36; Road & Bridge Fund $120,147.65; Reg of Deeds P&M Fund $324.92; Drug Court Fund $300.00; Sheriff Commissary Fund $172.00; Highway Bond Repay Fund $106,443.75. The board also reviewed a Tax Increment Financing report from the City of Falls City and received notice from Gallagher Benefit Services of a 7% increase in the county’s Medica insurance rate effective July 1, 2026.
The board adjourned at 11:25 a.m.; the next regular meeting is scheduled for May 13, 2026.
