Renick R‑V Board of Education members voted unanimously Feb. 17 to approve several fiscal and calendar actions, including a $750,000 transfer to MOCAAT and adoption of the 2026–27 academic calendar.
Tyler Cleeton, board member, moved to approve a transfer of $750,000 to MOCAAT; Michael McKeown, board member, seconded the motion, which carried 7-0. The minutes do not specify conditions or the intended use of the transferred funds.
The board also approved an EGS services agreement on a 7-0 vote after a motion from Cleeton and a second from McKeown; the meeting minutes do not list a contract amount for that agreement.
On the academic calendar, the board noted the 2025–26 calendar had 148 days while Missouri requires 142; Michael McKeown moved to return March 30, May 18 and a half day on April 2 to reduce the excess, and the motion passed 7-0. The board then approved the 2026–27 academic calendar by a 7-0 vote after a motion by Tyler Cleeton and a second from Josh Deweese.
Earlier in the meeting the consent agenda — including bills, the January minutes and the substitute list — was approved on a 6-0 vote. That vote occurred before Board member Michael McKeown’s listed arrival at 6:09 p.m., according to the minutes.
The board entered closed session at 7:11 p.m. under Sec. 610.021 RSMo subsection 3 to discuss student personnel; the roll-call vote recorded all seven members in favor. The board left closed session at 7:34 p.m., again on a roll-call vote of 7-0, and then adjourned.
What the board approved is recorded in the meeting minutes; the minutes note the MOCAAT transfer amount but do not include further budgetary detail or the EGS contract amount. The board set its next regular meeting for March 17, 2026 at 6 p.m.
