Waukesha Board of Public Works approves routine minutes, payments and several contracts

The Waukesha City Board of Public Works met Sept. 4 and voted to approve the meeting minutes from Aug. 21 and eight payments presented by staff. Chair Steve Cassins confirmed a quorum and led the meeting through a brief agenda of capital and contract items.
City staff reported eight payments for board approval and noted there were no final payments in this round; the board approved the payments unanimously after a motion and second. The board then moved through several contract items that drew more substantive discussion before votes.
Board members voted to approve contracts and change orders for capital and maintenance work, including a bus-wash replacement at the Badger Drive facility, a multi-year on-call engineering contract with Jacobs Engineering, a municipal garage roof maintenance contract procured via Omnia Partners/Garland DBS and a change order to add temporary street lighting at the Sunset Drive and Prairie Avenue intersection. Staff said the projects were within the current budget lines and that remaining savings on one project would be carried forward to next year’s CIP.
With no further public comment or business the board adjourned.
