The Marlborough Board of Selectmen completed several formal actions at its Dec. 5, 2025 meeting.
Payroll and Accounts Payable Registers: Selectman Pitt moved to approve the Nov. 26, 2025 Direct Deposit Register ($15,584.85) and Accounts Payable Register ($552,333.25) and the Dec. 4, 2025 Direct Deposit Register ($13,285.57) and Accounts Payable Register ($416,435.86). Chairman Paight seconded; the vote to approve was unanimous.
Winter Maintenance Contract: After discussing DPW staffing and a private winter-maintenance offer, Selectman Pitt moved and Chairman Paight seconded to enter into a winter maintenance contract with Bill’s Concrete & Construction, LLC for the 2025–26 season, using a $90-per-hour retainer that covers 5 hours per week; the board approved the motion unanimously.
Nonpublic Session and Sealing Minutes: Selectman Pitt moved, and Chairman Paight seconded, to enter nonpublic session under RSA 91-A:3, II(c) (matters that could adversely affect an individual's reputation). Roll call votes were recorded as Selectman Pitt – Yes and Chairman Paight – Yes. Later the public session reconvened and the board voted to seal the nonpublic minutes; the roll call to seal was unanimous.
Adjournment: Selectman Pitt moved to adjourn at 12:20 p.m.; Chairman Paight seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
