Patton Township’s Recreation Advisory Committee recommended that the Board of Supervisors review the revised Patton Township Parks & Bicycle/Pedestrian Path Plan 2026–2030 and scheduled a spring parks tour.
Staff reported revisions to the draft parks-and-paths plan were complete. Mr. Hickman moved and Mr. Greg Turner seconded a recommendation that the Board of Supervisors review the document; all members voted in favor. The minutes show the Board’s May meeting is scheduled for May 13, 2026.
The Committee also confirmed the May 19, 2026 meeting will be the spring parks tour, beginning at 4:00 p.m., and named four sites to be visited: the State College Borough New Skate Park, Whitehall Road Regional Park (robo-mower demonstration), Autumnwood Park and Suburban Park. Committee members asked staff to collect information on how other municipalities handle food trucks in parks and to return that research at a future meeting.
The minutes record no formal adoption by the Board at this meeting; the committee’s action was a recommendation for Board review.
