The River Ridge Community Development District Board on Aug. 27 accepted the resignation of Supervisor James Gilman from Seat 1 (term through November 2026). Mrs. Cleo Adams presented Mr. Gilman’s resignation letter; the Board discussed and on motion by Supervisor Kurt Blumenthal, seconded by Supervisor Robert Twombly, the resignation was accepted unanimously.
Because the position will be filled by appointment rather than election, the Board asked staff to publicize the vacancy. Mrs. Adams said she will include a friend’s resume on the next agenda after receiving it, and the Board directed that Mr. Long and The Meadows’ POA manager e-blast residents with information about the vacancy, candidate qualification requirements, and instructions to submit a resume or letter of interest before the next meeting.
The minutes note that administration of the oath of office and required ethics training and disclosure filing materials will be provided to any appointee but the Board deferred related agenda items for later consideration.
