Mr. Willis presented the proposal as part of a longer-term traffic-calming plan and Mr. Long recommended moving an existing unit 20 to 30 yards after it logged approximately 800 varied speeding violations over three weeks; moving the existing unit will require purchasing a pole, which staff said will cost about $1,200 from Paramount Asphalt.
Discussion covered proposed installation locations, a $150,000 capital allocation for traffic calming, PSGRC enforcement criteria for warnings and fines, and a suggestion that the homeowners association assume ongoing cloud-device fees offset by covenant fine revenue. The board approved AV-Tech estimates on motion by Mr. Schultz, seconded by Mr. Blumenthal, with all in favor.
