The North Fond du Lac Village Board on Oct. 7 approved a $42,675 contract with MSA to design a lane-conversion project that will be funded from State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF).
Director of Public Works Mitch Vis recommended the design contract and told trustees the timeline for a speed reduction and stop-sign installation on McKinley Street would be completed by the end of October. "The timeline for the speed reduction and stop sign install at McKinley will be by the end of October," Vis said.
Trustee Chuck Hornung moved to approve the contract; Trustee John Duffy seconded and the motion carried 5-0. The approved contract was recorded at the meeting as $42,675.
The Board discussed using SLFRF for the project during the administrative portion of the agenda and agreed to proceed with the design work. No construction schedule or total project cost beyond the design contract was specified at the meeting.
The Board’s action authorizes staff to proceed with design work under the MSA contract; further steps, including bidding or construction approvals, were not specified in the open minutes.
