The Environmental Sustainability Committee met virtually on June 4, 2026, and voted to approve minutes from April 2 and May 21 and to send an updated committee charter to the Select Board for approval. Christina Christodoulopoulos, the committee co-chair and meeting chair, opened the session at 7:13 p.m.
The meeting recorded the resignation of Alan, which members acknowledged and thanked him for his contributions, particularly his work with the schools. Kyra Prats moved to approve the April 2 minutes as amended, and Keith Therrien seconded; the motion passed unanimously by roll call. The committee likewise approved the May 21 minutes, with Eric Balles moving and Keith Therrien seconding; that motion also passed unanimously by roll call.
Members reviewed an updated version of the ESC charter and voted to approve it as amended and to submit it to the Select Board for consideration. The charter motion was moved by Kyra Prats, seconded by Keith Therrien, and passed unanimously by roll call. The committee recorded several new action items during housekeeping, including compiling questions for the Highland Collaborative and arranging follow-up meetings on DPW solar planning. The meeting adjourned at 8:38 p.m.
The actions taken were procedural approvals and assignments; the ESC will transmit the updated charter to the Select Board as its next formal step.
