North Fond du Lac board approves consent agenda, hears budget and project updates

Trustee Chuck Hornung moved to approve and Trustee Ann Price seconded; the minutes record "3 ayes" with Trustees John Duffy and Mike Will excused.
Administrator Nick Leonard and department heads provided routine weekly updates. Leonard told the board the village is still reviewing proposals for a security camera project under the State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF), and he updated members on the status of the municipal building study. The minutes record no final decisions on those items and state staff will gather additional details for future meetings.
The board reviewed the proposed 2024 Court and Library budgets. The minutes note anticipated increases in the Court budget for printing and envelope costs due to the closing of the current printer. The Library budget as presented would draw $21,480 from fund balance to cover 2024 expenses. Trustees did not finalize the overall 2024 budget at this meeting; the minutes say there was no additional discussion for the item and that the CIP discussion will continue at future meetings.
The board also recognized Tami Stettbacher for five years of service and welcomed Dave Tollefsen, identified as the FDL County Veteran Service Officer, who introduced himself and described the services his office provides to veterans in Fond du Lac County. The meeting adjourned at 6:55 p.m. after a motion by Trustee Ann Price and a second by Trustee Chuck Hornung; the minutes record 3 ayes.
