The Carbondale City Council on Dec. 2 handled routine administrative business, approving minutes from earlier meetings and authorizing local holiday advertising. Councilmember Kaitlyn Ball moved to approve the Nov. 18 minutes (seconded by Ronnie Moeller) and Councilmember Kevin Seals moved to approve the Nov. 24 minutes (seconded by Ronnie Moeller); both motions carried.
The council approved Christmas and New Years ads from the Osage County Herald on a motion by Councilmember Cheryl Lister, seconded by Kevin Seals. Councilmember Kevin Seals also moved that the council review and accept the presented bills; Kaitlyn Ball seconded and the motion carried.
The transcript records Attorney Tom Barnes leaving the meeting at 7:29 PM and the meeting adjourning on a motion by Kevin Seals, seconded by Kaitlyn Ball, with adjournment recorded at 7:32 PM. A textual inconsistency appears in the minutes: SEG 016 references "11/25/2024 Minutes" as the section header while the approval motion references 11/24/2024; the minutes do not clarify which date is correct.
