Council approves contract award for Jared Eliot Middle School design work
Summary

Charles Carey, business manager for the Board of Education, presented the School Building Committee's recommendation to the Town Council on the Jared Eliot Middle School window-wall and heating-unit replacement project (RFQ/RFP Bid Number 2026-01).
On separate unanimous motions, the Council (1) accepted the School Building Committee's recommendation to award the contract for programming, conceptual design and cost estimating to Antinozzi Associates and (2) authorized the Jared Eliot Middle School Building Committee to award and enter into the contract on behalf of the Town of Clinton.
The motions were made by Councilor Chris Aniskovich and seconded by Councilor Brian Roccapriore (acceptance) and by Aniskovich and Jeremiah Dunn (authorization); both motions passed unanimously. The minutes do not record a contract value or schedule; the Building Committee will proceed to finalize the contract with Antinozzi Associates as authorized.
The Council did not debate the firm selection at length during the July 15 meeting; Carey provided the update and the Council moved to approve and delegate contract execution to the Building Committee.
