The Denton Village Board on Feb. 2 reviewed a playground improvement rendering and bids totaling $521,270 for structures and safety matting. Trustee Amanda Fangmeier presented the proposal and figures during the meeting discussion.
The project bid listed $389,150 for the playground structures and $132,120 for matting. Mary Sue Wagner said she would help with grant writing to offset costs: "I would help with grant writing," Wagner said.
Board members discussed the design and potential funding sources but did not record a vote or take final action on the project in the minutes. The item remains on the agenda for future consideration and potential grant-seeking work.
