Bonner Springs issues Black History Month proclamation; community offers brief remarks

A resident speaking after the proclamation thanked the council, said community belonging is what makes Bonner Springs special and urged residents to celebrate and honor the city’s Black history.
Pastor Jared of Christ 1st Ministries gave the invocation and led the meeting in prayer following the pledge. No immediate council action was required for the proclamation; it was presented as a ceremonial recognition.
