System staff announced three recipients of the Sunflower Scholarship Fellows awards to develop online co'requisite content for gateway math and English. The awardees are: Cloud Community College and Fort Hays State University (joint proposal); Johnson County Community College and Washburn University (joint proposal); and Barton Community College and Washburn University (joint proposal). Staff said faculty will work over the summer and present findings at a co'requisite symposium this fall at Barton Community College.
Staff also previewed the virtual October KCOG conference for faculty to review systemwide transfer course learning outcomes and noted recent rural listening tour sessions to inform middle'skills pathway development in several communities.
Regents asked for follow'up reporting on the fellows' research results; staff agreed to provide updates to the committee.
