A committee member nominated Anne Panessa for chair and nominated Jess Durer to remain vice chair; the nomination included a request to confirm staff participation for the secretary role as required by the bylaws. "I nominate Anne Panessa to be the chair of the Charles Town Planning Commission and for Jess Durer to remain vice chair," the committee member said during the nomination.
James, the staff member, confirmed that the bylaws designate the secretary function to staff. The nomination was seconded, the chair called for the voice vote and the commission approved the slate.
The commission recorded the approval of officers for 2025 and immediately moved to adjourn the meeting. There were no further substantive agenda items recorded in the meeting minutes for officer selection.
